Installing Palm Reader titles on your Palm PDA
- Double-click on the file (it will have a .pdb extension).
- The Palm Desktop software will open.
- Select the user.
- Click "Ok".
- Click "Done" when you are finished.
- At the next HotSync, the title will automatically be installed onto your handheld.
Note to first-time customers:
- The Palm Reader will initially be under "Unfiled" applications.
- Select the eBook you wish to open.
- You will be prompted to unlock the title (you only need to do this once for each new title).
- Enter your name as it appears on your credit card and the your credit card number.
Note to Netscape 7.0 or Mozilla users:
Palm eBook files should have the extension .pdb. Some web browsers add ".exe" to the end of the file when it is downloaded. If this occurs, simply delete the .exe from the file name and the eBook will install properly.
Installing Palm Reader titles on your Pocket PC
There are two ways to install Palm Reader titles on your PocketPC:
- Use the Palm Reader installer:
- Run setup.exe (this will be located where you unzipped the Palm Reader Pro setup).
- Click "Install Book".
- Select the title you wish to open. If your title does not appear in the window, select "Browse" and navigate to the location of your title.
- Select "Next".
- Once your PocketPC syncs with your desktop, your title will be available to read on your PocketPC.
- Manually move title to your PocketPC:
- Copy the file (it will have a .pdb extension).
- Paste the file in your Active Sync Folder in the Peanut Press directory.
- Once our PocketPC syncs with your desktop, your title will be available to read on your PocketPC.
